you took my hand

pierced my eyes with yours

til they hazed by tears and pain

and gave me a gentle kiss

that kiss that once ensured my heart

now fades in anguish and void

my soul breach apart

my sheath falls to the ground

and there’s no ending

just me

bare and broken

and you

eternal
